In Florida the off season is often summer travel, not winter. A boat that sits for a month in the heat needs a little care.
Fuel and engine
Fill the tank to limit condensation and add a stabilizer. Run the engine for a few minutes so treated fuel reaches the carburetor or injectors.
Cover and ventilation
Use a breathable cover and keep it tight so water cannot pool. Crack a hatch or add vents to keep mildew out of the cabin and upholstery.
Put the battery on a maintainer and you will be ready to launch the day you get back.
