Repowering beats replacing, most of the time
If the hull is sound and the layout still suits you, a new engine costs a fraction of a new boat and gives you a quieter, cleaner, far more economical ride. We will also tell you when a boat is not worth repowering, because putting a new outboard on a tired transom helps nobody.
- A fraction of the price of a new boat
- Modern four strokes, quieter and cheaper to run
- Three year factory warranty on new engines
Three factory certified lines
We rig all three in our own bays, so the brand you pick comes down to the boat and the budget, not to who we happen to be trained on.
Mercury repowers
The most common repower on these lakes. Light, quiet and well supported, with FourStroke and Verado parts on our own shelf rather than on order. Three year factory warranty, registered for you.
Yamaha repowers
F70 through F300The choice for offshore hulls and heavier boats, and for owners who want the longest service intervals we can offer. Authorized dealer, genuine parts, digital controls included in the rigging.
Suzuki repowers
Motor financing onlyUsually the best value per horsepower and the quietest of the three at pontoon cruising speed. DF25 through DF250, rigged and prop matched here before it leaves.
Soft pulls are non-credit inquiries used for informational purposes, like self-checks or employment background checks. Hard pulls are credit inquiries during loan applications and can temporarily lower your credit score.
Four steps to new power
-
Step 1
Send the boat details
Make, model, year, current engine and a few photos of the transom. That is enough to start a real quote.
-
Step 2
Get the repower plan
An engine recommendation, a prop, the rigging and controls needed, and one number covering all of it.
-
Step 3
Installation and rigging
Old engine out, new one on, controls, gauges and wiring done properly rather than spliced into what was there.
-
Step 4
Sea trial and hand over
We run it on the water, set the prop, register the warranty and walk you through what changed.
Get a repower quote today
Every repower is different once you count the prop, the controls, the rigging and the electronics. Send the details and we will come back with one real number.
Quotes include the outboard, rigging and water test. Your details are never shared.
What owners ask before repowering
Buying, financing and owning a boat with Motomarine, answered. If yours is not here, call the yard and we will get you an answer the same day.
Yes. We work with several marine lenders and usually have a decision back within the hour. Apply online before you visit or sit down with our finance team at the yard.
Absolutely. Sea trials are available on most in stock models from March to November. Book a slot with a captain and we will have the boat fueled and ready at the dock.
We do. Bring your boat and trailer to any of our locations, or send photos and the hull number and we will give you a written offer within two business days.
Delivery is free within 50 miles of any Motomarine location. Beyond that we charge a flat rate per mile, quoted before you sign anything.
Every new boat comes with one season of heated indoor storage and a spring commissioning. After that, slip holders get a discounted seasonal rate.
Routine services are usually done the same week. Repowers and major repairs are quoted with a firm date before work starts.
